Retail Answers leads IT improvements at SuperGroup

Background

SuperGroup Plc is one of the fastest growing branded clothing companies operating a multi-channel business through a combination of Cult and Superdry standalone stores, Superdry concessions, e-Commerce and its UK and International Wholesale operations.

Project

SuperGroup needed to make sure that its systems were capable of supporting its ambitious growth plans and Retail Answers was appointed to review the existing systems across all channels and recommend a 4 year IT plan with budgets. Following the acceptance of the plan by the board, Retail Answers has continued its involvement in managing the IT operation and key projects and programmes.

Specific activities included:

  • Reviewing the systems that support the web, store & wholesale businesses and developing an IT plan to meet the exceptional growth of the organisation.
  • Setting up and managing the IT steering group that is responsible for developing and implementing the IT strategy within the organisation.
  • Working with the users to implement business process improvements in the use of existing systems.
  • Managing suppliers to improve systems and to make sure that service levels are being met.
  • Managing the transition of the web picking operation to the central distribution centre and the implementation of international Ecommerce sites.
  • Overseeing the selection and transition to new service providers.
  • Managing the selection of new multi-channel business systems including retail, wholesale, Ecommerce integration, warehousing and finance.
  • Agreeing the structure and role definition within the IT department and the recruitment of a new Head of IT.
