Healix International - Travel Policy Sales

Background

Healix International is a leading supplier of medical screening information to the travel insurance sector. Healix’s clients previously experienced delays in initiating policy sales as medical screening was offered via a standalone database or over the telephone. Retail Answers was appointed to develop a ground-breaking policy sales system to improve Healix’s offering and reaffirm their market leadership.

Project Summary

This revolutionary new system built by Retail Answers has allowed Healix’s clients to improve the accuracy of risk assessment whilst removing the delays associated with screening travellers over the telephone. The system captures personal and travel data as well as asking a range of questions to assess each medical condition. The medical score is then converted to an additional premium or excess before payment is taken and the policy documentation issued. A key consideration was Healix’s ability to add new clients themselves including the site branding, scheme definition and pricing rules. Retail Answers developed this as a web-based system in .NET with a SQL Server database:
